CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
A large bright orange globe light, about the size of a football, oval in shape though.
Had a small white light parallel to the large orange light, looking like an approaching aircraft, but no noise.
A black outline between the two lights was visible as if the two lights were joined.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
Yes, it hovered above the houses to the South, at approximately 500-1,000 feet, and then after approximately 45 seconds the white light disappeared behind the orange and the whole orange light moved from side-to-side.
After this you could see it was obviously moving away at very high speed and followed the same trajectory as the first light we saw minutes before.
It disappeared into a star filled sky, no clouds at the time.

Any additional comments:
Totally bewildered as have never ever seen or encountered anything like this in our 60+ years.
It was not an aircraft of any description, there was no noise whatsoever.
It was not a meteor.
It was not a static star/planet that are clearly visible this time of year.
We live extremely close to Borough Hill which has a high powered microwave radio station and this was in times past, an iron age fort and roman dwelling.
