CSIGHTING DETAILS

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:

first sighting it was a red/orange ball in the distance but as it came over head it looked triangular in shape as it was over the derby city area i saw three sparks coming from the back the same as a jet fires to avoid a missile, i thuoght that it was an airliner on fire and called my brother in law out side to see it his wife tried to take a photo of it but it was not very good,

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:

all it did was send out the flares / sparks then as it went off into the distance it just vanished just like switching off a light, that would be over the nottingham atea.

Any additional comments:

i am not sure that it was a ufo it was going about the same speed as an aircraft, but there was no noise, i have called the eastmidlands airport , and they are looking into it,
i think it was an engine fire ,
