CSIGHTING DETAILS

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
Large orange ball, constant light, with no protruding objects.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
Travelled silently from the distance above the housing estate at a similar height to that of a hot air balloon. It travelled at a speed of approx.50mph+, but silently, which suggested to us that it couldn't be a microlite, or a hot air balloon.

Any additional comments:
The glowing orange sphere looked to be the size of a hot air balloon, but was travelling quite high above the roof tops, at a height similar to that of a hot air balloon, but also travelling silently, and at a speed in excess of 50mph.
The speed and silence meant it couldn't be any standard microlite or balloon. It was witnesses by myself and partner as we started our car to leave my parents house, and also by four (adult) family members waving us off. We stopped the car and watched the orange ball move over the estate towards us (South West direction but it then quickly changed direction and then moved off going due West)
The sky was clear with good visability. We have never seen anything like this before, but it was very unusual.
Any explanations would be appreciated.
Yours Sincerely
Mr I R Woods & Mrs S Haslehurst
