SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at kingston, surrey

blazing / flaming red light, travelling fast enough for me to think it was a helicopter initially, although the light looked odd in colour & shape. Travelling across from Kingston area, then rising & slowing, rising so high realised could not be helicopter & must be a plane, but still the light did not look like plane lights (we see enought of them here!) which was why I was watching it so intently. Went high up enough to look like a bright star, and almost appeared to stop moving completely a couple of times.

No, when it was very high the light appeared to dim, then finally I couldn't see it at all, so I again thought it must be a plane that had changed path. But I could clearly see the (now unilluminated object), which appeared to be dropping slowly, and moving across the sky with the wind, so could well be some kind of balloon. But what kind of balloon moves that far / fast / high with flaming red light for most of its journey? (too big to be a hot air balloon gas burner - way too big). Got my binoculars at this point, v curious, and it was an odd shape, bit bumpy like a crude 3-D 3-leafed clover, with an extra central bit sticking out. Sorry, crap description, but bit hard to describe. It appeared to be rotating on itself as it continued moving across the sky, again, made me think could be some kind of a balloon, but WEIRD for sure. I watched it until it disappeared from my view (behind the roof), but its direction was continuing roughly north, towards kingston vale area, took maybe 6-7 mins in all

Don't think this was anything manned by Martians, but it was odd, would love an explanation if you have one, thankyou
