it first looked like a plane was on fire, but after a few seconds came clearer and was a glowing ball like shape orangey red in colour

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:

it travelled across the sky like a plane low and at a steady speed

my son got some of it on his mobile phone ( video) all my family witnessed it never seen anything like it!
