It had a bent side, and was kind of a oval, but I couldn't see much of it because it was in the sky, quite far away.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:

No, but it did make a quiet noise, just before it zoomed off.

I was petrified, but I was too scared to move unti it went.
