CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
There were 3 lights in the sky to the west of where we live. They were very small lights in the sky.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
They were flying in a triangular formation, and then the one on the right side appeared to accelerate ahead of the remaining 2. We watched them until they dissapeared behind the clouds. We then saw them again about an hour later. 2 were well in advance of the 3rd, at which point, the 3rd one accelerated to catch and pass the other 2. We again lost them behind the clouds.
Any additional comments:
This happened on fireworks night, but I can state without any misgivings, these were powered objects, just from the acceleration they used. They were also flying well above the height of fireworks. I do live on the flight path into Newcastle airport, however these were to the west of our house, while the flightpath is from the east.
