SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at Newcastle upon tyne

Round sphere with constant red light and a bright aura around the red light It then turned black with no lights.It was like a black dot in the sky. There was no noise like you would get of an aircraft.

The object aceended rapidly Then desended to about 20,000 feet then seemed to slow down,then hover before disappering into the distance. The weather was clear with not a cloud in the sky.We are on an aircraft departure radial. So the object was going the wrong way. If it was going to land at Newcastle upon tyne airport. I work offshore as a heli-Admin dealing with Helicopters and have done weather courses and have a CAA radio licence. I have never seen anything like this before and i am always watching the skys for aircraft leaving the airport. In my appionion gthis was definetly an unidentified object.

I was sitting in my back garden with my dog watching the sky as it was such a nice evening when i saw the object. I called to my wife to come outside and have a look once i realised it was not a aircraft. By the time she came out it was round and had turned black with no lights and was hovering.
