What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
My wife and I witnessed what looked like a fireball in the North Eastern sky, travelling in a roughly Eastern direction. As Daventry lies beneath busy flightpaths for airlines travelling to and from Luton and Birmingham airports our first thought was that it was an airliner on fire. The object, had it been an airliner, would have been at approximately 25000 - 30000 ft. The object moved and behaved like an airliner, with flame coloured movement around it, as if it was a burnig aircraft, although it exhibited no trail or aparent smoke. There was no discernable sound. After a few seconds the object appeared to move to a different trajectory, and gradually faded, as if it was moving away from us. We observed the object until it disappeared.

Following our sighting, we tuned into a news radio station to see if there were any reports concerning a burning aircraft.
