What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
5 orange lights moving vertically in a formation (as if a recognisable star group -of which I have no education) which disappeared in turn in the north-westerly direction .
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:

These were not aircraft - unless the Harrier can fly vertically above 30,000 feet. Really quite bizarre. Appeared like a recognisable constellation but disappeared each one in turn vertically. Colour was orange/yellow not the normal appearance of a star in the night sky. One appeared like an inverted "V" shape. 3 mins later as I walked home saw a falling star from NW to SW.
