CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
about 20 or so orange lights aproaching from north-east, north and north-west converging to south-west, no sound, some lights went out. View was about 1 mile square. some were bigger than others. one local suggestion was that they were chinese lanterns (if they were - apologies to the compiler of this site!)
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
Very fast moving, straight path. Once or twice it seemed that one slowed for a following light to catch up.
Any additional comments:
I sincerely hope I'm not wasting your time with this report. The whole event was exhilerating. We did consider if they were New Year fireworks, but they were totally dissimilar to all the other fireworks we were watching. And yes, we were completely sober!!
