What happened was this: My mother and I were watching television one night, and all this happened at the same time...the power went off as a light from outside and above our house "whooshed" right over the roof. It almost shook the house. No engine noise of any sort, just a tremendous "WHOOOOOOSH"!!! As our power went out, the light from outside lit the inside of our house very brightly with a whitish light, and went through the house with the same direction of the sound. After it went over, the power came back on, and we rushed outside to see if we could see anything. There was nothing in the sky, no out of the ordinary smell, no explosion, no light anywhere...nothing! Whatever it was went RIGHT OVER OUR HOUSE, and FAST!
