Oval shaped, bright silver, metallic looking
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
It moved in quick darting spurts across the sky in one hundred metre bursts, stopped and changed direction a few times, back and forwards and then moved out of sight in an instant.

The sky was completely cloudless and the object was the only visible thing in the sky.
