CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
A glowing yellow ball apparently on fire but without trails of either smoke or flame. Impossible to estimate size because height above ground could neither be seen nor calculated. Could have been small object travelling at speed of small aircraft or large object at a great height travelling very fast.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
No. Steady velocity across sky from WSW to ENE (approx)until disappeared like a flame going out whilst still in the sky.
Any additional comments:
No evidence of navigation lights as one might expect to see on a light aircraft. Basically looked like a ball (or solid object made up of 3 balls)on fire but without noise or trail. Very still night - would have heard aeroplane travelling at that speed unless very high, in which case the velocity was extremely high.
