What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
the only shape that i can think of is a coffin,i was watching
aircraft through binoculars 10x mag when i saw this object just to the left of the plane it was travelling at about a quarter of the speed of the aircraft,seemed to be about 2/3rds length ofaircraft and about twice the width of fusilage,aircraft 737 type.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
not sure if object was tumbling and reflecting sunlight or if it was flashing a light,about once a second,
Any additional comments:
object seemed to be a brown in colour,all aircraft this time in the evening glint silver in the setting sunlight,silent in flight,no idea how high it was probably would not have seen it if not watching aircraft,[a passtime of mine],would be interested to know if anyone else has seen it, best wishes John.
