CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
It was a bright, flame orange colour, star shaped light (like an overcrossed cross or * possibly with more points, I can't be sure) travelling roughly west to east quite fast. I would imagine a little faster than airships I have seen in the past. The light was constant, not flickery and of equal brightness all over. I couldn't judge the distance or gauge the size easily. But it was much, much lower that an aeroplane and fairly sizeable.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
no its speed was constant. It went quickly from a bright dot I thought was a distant lantern that my eyes made look star shaped to becoming a clear star shape. It was coming toward me at speed and I watched as it passed
Any additional comments:
It possibly made a slight sound, like a gas flame, but I was straining my ears to hear and cannot be sure if it was distant traffic
