SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at ssw of Derby in clear skies

there where two objects close together aprox eight miles away at 40degrees from the ground in very clear skies, both objects where cigar shaped, bright red/orange, they seemed to be 1/4 mile apart.
the one to the left changed shape to an orb pulsating.
Later the other one on the right did the same.

The object to the left rose up slightly before moving off quite quickly to the left, stopping dead and remaining stationary for about twenty seconds before complettely disapearing instantly.
The other remained stationary the whole time and after what must have been 30/40 seconds changed into an orb before slowly fadeing in a direct line backwards before completely disapearing.

My wife opened our front door and immediately called me down from upstairs whilst she observed these objects, I seen both of the objects which where very prominent and visable.
I went up stairs to get my binoculars and returned in time to observe all of the above account, in retrospect I am only sorry that I didn't pick up my camera.
These objects where extremely visable and must have been seen by other people although at that point in time the majority of people would have been in there homes watching there T.V. with X Factor being on at that time.
I have served nine years in HM Forces, Fifteen years on the ambulance service and currently work for local government.
These objects where not aircraft or flares and can only be discribed as UFO'S.
I sincerely hope the many other people have taken the time to report this event because it the skies where so clear that many must have seen them?
