What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
It was high in sky...blurred round shape and was dull orange in color. It came from the NE heading SW...since it was fairly high in sky, it appeared to be smaller than a basketball. No noise was apparent
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
As it approached me from the NE (high in sky...about height of airplanes at that time....it stopped for a few seconds...then it shot off to the South at the speed of a shoooting star. Never was there a sound heard.
Any additional comments:
At that time and my age, I didn't know much about UFOs but remembered the experience as it was unreal. Since that time, no one can convince me that UFOs don't exist. Nothing that I am aware of at that time could stop in the sky and then change directions and shoot off in the sky as fast as a shooting star. This was a period of time when commercial aircraft were prop planes
