What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
It appeared as a ball of orange light. From the drivers seat of my car I would say that the approximate distance from me was 1/2 to 1 mile away and the ufo was about the size of a light bulb.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
When first spotted it was hovering at what looked to be about 1 to 1 1/2 thousand feet above ground level. About 5 seconds after first seeing it , the ufo sped away from me at a tremendous rate of acceleration, climbing slightly and disappearing from sight within a couple of seconds.
Any additional comments:
It was a reasonably sunny clear winters day and although this was my first experience, I have a very open mind where UFOs are concerned and despite trying to explain away what I had seen I remain convinced
that the object was not anything that I had seen before in the skys around where I live. There are no high rise building, antenna towers or anything else requiring to be lit for aircraft safety or any other reason.
