What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
The craft was silver and oval in shape, from my vantage point, flying low to the ground and very large. It was glowing bright red underneath, besides that, no other lights were visible.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
The craft was moving at a phenomenal speed, and seemingly came out of nowhere.
Any additional comments:
I was with my best friend in the back field of my parents farm, in a vehicle similar to a dune buggy, observing the sunset. It was amazing. In fear of ridicule, we told no one and made no official report. I know it comes rather late. but after watching a series called "The UFO over Illinois", I knew I had to tell someone. Unfortunately, we had no camera. Lacking proof or evidence, we elected to not even tell our parents. They are complete skeptics, and the police would have laughed at us if we had called it in.
