it was too bright to be a star, pure white, and larger than normal stars. It was spherical.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:

it hovered above the fireworks display, then when it was over seemed to move away quite quickly.

it seemed to like the fireworks, and seemed attracted by them.
