What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
I saw a central white light, and around it several lights were flashing at various times - this is light formation (1) referred to below. Further to the east there was a bright yellowish light, and to the south of it there were five white lights in a > formation. The > formation lights flickered frequently.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
All the lights moved very slowly westwards across the sky, in a pulsating manner. From the first light formation (1), I observed a greenish searchlight beam on several occasions directed downwards. I also saw white searchlight beams between the lights in formation (1) on several occasion.
