CSIGHTING DETAILS

1

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:

Large and round.Silver.I saw the bottom (it was tilted) It made a very loud hum causing my little brother to cry. It was just above the roof of the corner house (4 houses away from us) for about 10 minutes. It later returned again in 1970. @ 1961 a different UFO (silent) hovered above our house (724 W. 45th St. KCMO) with flashing lights in middle of night. I went out and saw it. @ 1967 my father an I saw a formation of 6 silver round UFOs flying south of 47th St. (Plaza area, KCMO) heading east.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:

No. The first UFO made so much noise I thought it was an army plane in trouble that was going to crash. (I was about six yrs. old) The different night UFO had flashing colored lights that hovered between our house and the house directly west (@ 15 ft. away from our house.) The lights woke me up.

Any additional comments:

The 1st UFO scared my brother as he rode his tricycle behind my bicycle on the sidewalk with its loud, low hum. The second UFO woke me with flashing lights,I went downstairs thinking there was a fire on the block, my family was awake but unresponsive, so I went out on the porch and saw nothing on the street. I walked to the western side of the porch and looked up. I saw the underside. It was quite close. My mother saw the 1st UFO, and my father saw the formation of six in flight, amazed at what they could be (he was driving and had served in the US Army Air Force in WW II.) The same as the 1st UFO woke me in 1970 with the humming noise. I looked out my window and it was above the same house (SE corner of 45th & Summit.) There was an article in the KC Star (or KC Times) newspaper about the first UFO on the right front page, but I was too young to read all of it.
