What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
The UFO was a conical shape, with a spiral pattern going all the
way around it. It was a red-orange colour, and it seemed that
there were flames coming out of it at its widest point. It was
about the size of a normal-sized passenger aircraft, and moving at
about the same speed. There were no noticable lights on it, other
than the afore-mentioned flames.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
At one point, when the UFO moved behind a tree, I moved to get a
look of it as it came out from behind the tree, which I should have
been able to do, but it had vanished completely.

Any additional comments:
I know that, as I was only seven when I saw this UFO, it does not
sound too plausible. However, my father also saw this UFO, and he was
also at a loss to explain it.
