I'm 29 now and I have never relayed this to anyone before, unfortunately I can not provide much information as the experience occurred many years ago when I was only 5 or 6 maybe?
In addition I have never been able to remember much about my experience anyway, but what I can remember has always been vivid in my mind. This in itself is strange because I have and always have had an exceptional memory, being able to remember many things that friends and family cannot.
As a child I remember that I would always have troubled nights in general and my parents would often need to look after me.
I used be terrified of of being alone in my room at night and would often wake up and find myself too scared to move or even make a sound, I would try to call my parents but could not speak.
One night I remember waking up and feeling very peaceful, there was a blue light (a thin strip covering the width of my bed) which travelled up from my feet, over my head and back down again. It lasted for maybe a minute and throughout I was lying out perfectly straight on my back with my arms laid by my sides. During this period I could not move anything except for my head and actually felt like I did not want/need to move! I remember also that, even though it was in the middle of the night, there was illunination coming from outside, behind my curtains. I followed the light back down my body with my eyes and when it reached my feet it disappeared, along with the illumination that I could see outside and I just rolled over and slipped back into a very peaceful and instant slumber.
I was not scared during my experience and didn't even give it a second thought afterwards, not for many years. It's strange that I was not scared by this experience, especially when you take into account the terror that I felt on a regular occassion at night, previous to that time.
I cannot remember being scared at night after that experience and honestly do not understand what happened but am hoping that I might find some answers one day?
