    Scorched 11ft metal object found in Minnesota cornfield, sheriff says

    The Stevens County Sheriff's Office in Minnesota says a large, scorched metallic object, roughly 11 feet across, was found upside down in a cornfield in Scott Township on 14 October after a passer-by reported debris. Deputies have called it "presumably a space object" but have not identified it, and state and federal agencies are helping work out what it is and arrange its removal. The sheriff's office says it poses no danger to the public. No link to any specific rocket or satellite has been confirmed.
