OFFICIAL RECORD
Pentagon UAP files detail 2010 witness sketches of 'Skinwalker' creatures and DNA tests on hair samples
In the Department of War's seventh PURSUE release of declassified UAP files, published 23 October, investigators from Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies documented 2010 witness accounts near Fort Duchesne, Utah, including sketches of tall, two-legged dog-like figures and smaller hairy creatures described by more than 25 people, among them residents and police. Hair samples were collected after a witness reported dogs chasing an unidentified animal through a fence. A laboratory's analysis in the files found three samples matched mitochondrial DNA common in domestic dogs, and a fourth, taken from a rock, matched raccoon DNA. The files give no scientific support for the creatures described in the witness drawings.

OFFICIAL RECORD
Declassified 1953 Air Force report describes Seymour, Indiana pharmacist's sighting of two hovering objects
A declassified US Air Force report, published 26 October as part of the Department of War's seventh PURSUE release of UAP files, documents a sighting in December 1953 near Seymour, Indiana, by pharmacist Hiram Jones and his wife. Filed under Air Force Regulation 200-2, it describes two circular objects, each showing a ring of smoke and four rotating lights, which hovered with what the report calls 'complete level stability' for five to six minutes before departing at high speed and without sound. A staff sergeant who interviewed Jones is quoted describing him as 'truthful, honest' and 'not prone to exaggeration'. The file was forwarded to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base's Project Blue Book, but the declassified record does not show what conclusion, if any, was reached.

REPORTED CLAIM
Retired Israeli fighter pilot describes 1998 close encounter with unidentified object near Tel Nof air base
Dror Gorlik, a retired Israeli Air Force squadron commander and F-15 pilot with around 25,000 flying hours, has gone public with an account of an unexplained object he says passed within 300-400 metres of his aircraft near Tel Nof air base in 1998. Speaking on a YouTube interview run by his son, Gorlik described a metallic object 'in the shape of what I'd call a mushroom or a muffin', with a dome, curved arches and yellow lights around its rim, which left no exhaust trail. He says his navigator also saw a yellow light, but that ground radar and the control tower detected nothing, and that a senior officer could not identify the object. Gorlik offers no explanation, saying: 'I have never seen anything like this. Not before and not after.'
