SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at East Kilbride, Scotland

Static light source (SW) over East Kilbride. Very intense light similar to heleicopter search light, though object was static (same location) in excess of 10 minutes, then appeared to travel vertical for a short distance at considerable speed, remained static for approx 1.5 minutes then vanished, (like a light being switched off). Other than the size and light intensity of the object, it's altitude appreared to be like that of a star. (not what I believe to be in normal commercial air traffic space, and certainly not that of a helicopter).

Remained static for 10 minutes, travelled vertical at speed, stopped for approx 1.5 minutes, then vanished.

I had seen both a U.F.O and a strange phemomanon on previous occasions, when they was reported to police and radio station , I was not taken seriously. As a result of this I was sceptical about reporting this incident until listening to the radio this morning (27/11/02 @ 07:15)and hearing other people querying a similar sighting over Edingburgh which had occurred this morning.

The other incedents happend in April 97 and aprrox September 99.
On these occasions I had other people with me who had witnessed the exact same events and occurances. Had I been aware of this website then, I would have been in contact to report the events in more detail.
