SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at over a chemical factory/plant

Myself and a friend saw it through my flat window. It looked like a transparent sphere, round or slightly oval, with a darker, cylindrical form inside it in a vertical position. It was moving very slowly right to left, maybe twenty to thirty feet above the chemical plant I lived opposite to. We were quite astonished because the form inside seemed vaguely human. It was hard to judge the distance and therefore size but we both felt it was fairly small (no more than about six feet in diameter).

It was raining steadilly so we opened the window to get a better view. The object was still clearly there and there was no noise. we watched it for perhaps two or three minutes before it disappeared behind a building.

Late in the afternoon the following day in the presence of my partner, our two children, two of their friends and myself, a glass fish on a high shelf started making a very high pitched whistling sound. We all clambered over to it to see what was causing it and after several seconds it stopped. I went down to the shop that we lived above and told the owner. "That's Wierd" He said because the woman I had passed on the way in had just told him she thought she'd seen a UFO above the shop.
I talked to my friend recently about this and we both realised (probably out of fear of being ridiculed) that we'd not talked to anyone else about this in the past ten years.
