What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
It started out as 3 smoke lines in the sky about two inches in length to the naked eye. They appeared to be red in colour possibly round in shape with two strands of smoke from each.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:

They were all heading in the same direction. I went upstairs to observe from the loft window and in the course of 45 minutes about twenty unidentified flying objects went over all heading in the exact same location. I live near heathrow airport and while this was going on, several planes were flying into and out of heathrow. During that time, we had noticed four leaving from the location.
