CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
A very bright orange light, seen at about 11am - on an overcast morning. No apparent object behind the light. Size is hard to estimate; as the object appeared to be about 800 metres away - maybe the size of a beach ball. This light was extremely bright.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
It was hovering over a hillock, no sound or signs of vapour, smoke or support. It was visible for about 20-30 seconds, then dropped to the treeline about 800 metres away and then vanished - like someone had flicked a switch.
Any additional comments:
No blinking lights, sound or regular movement, which is what made me think that it wasn't an aircraft on the usual flightpath over our village.
