Large orange object, possibly V shaped

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:

Moving horizontally very quickly and then just seemed to disappear

Any additional comments:

I live near to Whitegate Beacon and am familiar with air traffic movements, both to Liverpool and Manchester airports, however in 25 years at this address, I have never witnessed such an event.
