CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
Round shape, very bright pulsating blue, green, red and white light. Very far away as the only clear video of it was taken at approximately x50 zoom on a digital camcorder. Also seen pulsating through the above colours when looked at through binoculars and also with the naked eye.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
Appeared to stay stationary for quite some time in realtion to static objects on the ground before moving off towards the east at a constant height relative to the horizon but quite a slow speed, slower than a plane would be if seen at the same distance.
Any additional comments:
We checked online for current starcharts in our area and originally thought it could have been a planet, maybe Mercury, but it didn't seem to be in the right place relative to the moon and this wouldn't explain the stationary period. We have a 10 minute video which we took before going to bed if this is of any use.
