SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at CORBY, NORTHANTS

Single solid orange light - no navigation lights or strobes visible and no sound. Light was much brighter (almost white) at the bottom and hazey at the top. Distance estimated at less than 1/2 mile when first observed. Object well below cloud base which was evident in the distance behind the object. Moon just visible to the NNW of the object low in the sky obscured by cloud.

The object traveled from south to north and then to nnw overhead. It stopped and hovered. Fireworks then appeared from Corby Town Centre direction. The object - while I was watching it hovering through binoculars and whilst being videod - blinked out and re-appeared about half a mile to the east directly over where the fireworks were exploding. The object did not remain stationary but travelled back to the west to its original position. It remained hovering again for about 12 minutes - well after the fireworks were gone - until it eventually fleww off slowly over the horizon towards Rockingham/Market Harborough direction. I continued to watch it until it was lost behind the trees.

Multiple witnesses from different parts of the town. The people watching the fireworks must have seen the object too - very impressive - may have caught it on my video camera.
