CSIGHTING DETAILS

What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
Holyrood Sighting: The UFO was round and had an orange glow like
a supernova. It was small because it was off in the distance.
George's Brook to Monroe, NF. Sighting: Again it was round, had an
orange glow like a supernova. This time it's size varied. It went
from about the size of about an inch diameter in the sky to about
four feet diameter in the sky.

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
Holyrood Sighting: The UFO was just hovering off in the distance
over what I figured was the ocean. It jiggled a little, but
because of the distance it basically seemed to stay in the same area.
It remained there until I went around a turn and it's view was blocked.
George's Brook to Monroe Sighting: The UFO just hovered. It
remained in the same area and hovered for about 20 minutes. I think
it zoomed off at some warp speed now that I think of it. I'll
explain what I mean in additional comments, because these two
sightings, I think, are tied together.

Any additional comments:
I live in Monroe, NF., and I had to pick up my sister at the airport
in St. John's which is about a 2.5 hours drive away. She was coming
home for Christmas. Her plane didn't arrive until around midnight, so
I drove by myself to pick her up. It was getting rather late at night
and the highway was pretty lonely...especially since it was the start
of the winter season. Anyway, shortly after 10:30 pm I came around a
bend in the road and came across something I've never seen before. It
was a sparkling crystal-like substance that someone would probably
explain as being due to frost and moisture in the air. However, I got
a weird feeling about it because it was approximately one foot high
and it didn't get any smaller or larger, the top and bottom of it
stayed parallel to each other. As I followed the direction of it,
it stretch out across the barrens into the direction of the UFO.
That's how I came to see the UFO near Holyrood. Anyway, I picked up
my sister and told her what I saw and joked about how I saw the UFO
and that I thought that the crystal-like substance was some kind of
exhaust from it. We laughed about it on our way back home to Monroe.
Sometime around 3:00 am we arrived in Clarenville, NF. I had to get
some money from the ATM machine and pulled into the shopping centre.
When I did, I saw that crystal-like substance again and I pointed it
out to my sister. It was again the same size and stretched out of
sight. I laughed as I told my sister that the UFO is around here
because we drove through the exhaust again. I got my cash and started
off for home again and when we topped Greep's Nest Hill in George's
Brook I glanced down Smith's sound and saw the orange ball. I pointed
it out to my sister and we agreed it appeared to be hovering over the
sound around Monroe. It was about an inch in diameter. We continued
driving towards home and towards the UFO for the next 20 minutes
or so and we were able to see the UFO all the time. It just appeared
to hover the entire time, it remained the same colour and shape. The
only thing that changed as we drove was it's size. It went from about
one inch to about 4 feet in diameter and back again. It changed sizes
many times but remained in the same area. This was exciting for me
and my sister and was now the only thing we talked about. The UFO
just hovered over the salt water in the middle of the sound off Monroe
right up until we came down Dalton's Brook Hill about 2 miles from
home. At this point the UFO was it's largest once again and we could
see it with an unobstucted view. We were now pointing almost straight
towards it and it was hovering 500-600 feet above the water. Half-way
down the hill the UFO orange glow "Imploded" as I called it. I
thought it to be weird and that something was wrong with the way the
light went out. It went out quickly, but not normally, it started
from the outside and worked it's way inward. My thoughts were that
if you turned out a light the light would disappear from the inside
and move it's way to the outside edges. This was opposite and had me
baffled for some time. I recounted this story to many people over
years and each time I was baffled and no one offered a solution.
However, as I was telling the story again last week, it suddenly
struck me what had me baffled for so long and at the moment I told
part about the light imploding, I added that the light didn't actually
go out or implode. What had actually happened was that the UFO zoomed
off into the distance at such an incredible speed that it looked like
a light going out backwards. The light went out because it was moving
away from us so fast. I don't know why the UFO left so suddenly unless
for some reason they got scared as my headlights were pointing in it's
direction. Maybe they thought I was coming to get them? Who knows?
The truth is out there.
