SIGHTING REPORT UFO sighting at Smith's Sound, off Monroe, NF

It was another round object like the one I saw earlier. It had an
orange glow like a supernova.

The UFO stayed barely above sea-level. It zig-zagged frantically
back and forth across the sound in no apparent pattern. It just
zoomed back and forth across and up and down the sound. It crossed
the one mile wide sound in approximately one second, that should
give some idea of how fast it moved.

I never thought about this as being a UFO because of local folklore
in which a lantern is supposed to appear over the sound one night a
year. I thought I had seen the ghost of the man that supposedly drowned
years earlier when he stayed aboard his boat during a storm to try to
keep her from beating up on the rocks (he kept a lantern lit while he
was aboard). But, because of the earlier sighting and the next one
I'm reporting, it kind of makes sense that these three would be the
same thing...at least sort of because they all did different things,
and yet sort of the same thing (they all liked the ocean). Again, I'm
unsure of the exact month and day of the year because it was so long
ago. All I can remember, is that it happened somewhere in the vacinity
of when the latern is supposed to appear and some older folks here
could narrow the month and day down for me if I asked them. I knew
back then when the lantern was supposed to appear but I've since
forgotten.
