What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
First noticed a very large bright light moving across the skyline, first thoughts were an aircraft as we are close to the Robin Hood Airport flightpaths, however this was one continually light, no other lights, i.e flashing wing or undercarraige lights associated to aircraft.
It was moving in an arc like direction, moving south easterly. It then stopped, just hovered in the sky. It was too dark to gauge its height in any manner and nothing around to use as a visual gauge. It hovered for around 3 to 5 minutes, then shot off in the same direction, but as it began to move, its singular light was turned off just like turning off a light switch

Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
Yes, as I said it stopped and hovered for around 3 to 5 minutes, began to move forward once again quicker than before then its light went off like it was just turned out like a house switch
