CSIGHTING DETAILS
What did the UFO look like, shape/size in relation to terrestrial objects/lights/colour:
4 red coloured lights at the corners or set in a diamond or square configuration on an unseen object with a large green pulsating light in the centre of the "square" setting of lights. Passed slowly and silently across the cloudy sky from approximately west to east at about 500ft from ground.
Did the UFO do any strange things like hover and then zoom off quickly:
No strange movement from lights, but 3 shooting stars seen coming from the west to east which is what caused us to look up in the first place and then saw the UFO coming from the same direction.
Seeing the shooting stars was wierd as there was a low cloud base that night.

Any additional comments:
Witnessed by 3 friends and my self initally on the way back from the youth club but the number of witnesses increased as other youngsters saw we were looking into the sky and saw the object as well. We reported it to the local policeman at the police house in the village but he showed no great interest. We were concerned that the "shooting stars" were something like the pods from the war of the worlds coming down.
