    IDF searches overnight for unidentified object that crossed from Lebanon into Israel

    Sirens sounded in the Israeli border village of Arab al-Aramshe at 7:57pm on Saturday 11 October after lookouts spotted an unidentified aerial object crossing from Lebanon, the IDF said. Troops and helicopters searched Western Galilee overnight, setting up checkpoints as far as Nahariya, but the army said nothing unusual turned up. The IDF said searches were continuing and did not rule out a security incident. Commentators floated an unfamiliar drone, a powered paraglider, or a bag or balloon carried by the wind, though none was confirmed, and a local council leader called for a full investigation.
